What do you think about giveaways?

I think giveaways are amazing and simply fun. I love the followers/fans interaction with the sponsors, the other bloggers, and just good ole fun. Being able to host a giveaway is fun as well, and I can’t wait to host my own. I really want to do that this fall/winter. Of course, I would like to do something along the lines that deals with single moms, multiple kids, or a family base giveaway.

I entered a giveaway last night and I do hope I win. It was about vacation and you had to write an original blog post to their questions.  I loved it and each topic made you want to pick that one and write more and more on it. However, I contained myself and simply went with one topic. 

I have lots of blogging opportunities to start and do a giveaway and I would love your support. I’m also going to be starting a 60 day video challenge, check out my other blog for more information on that. So the moment I get or start a giveaway, I will be sure to let you know. 

Voting Counts

June 24, 2013 was a great day for me and Erika Swift Events. I started my wedding and event planning business up again and really want to put it out there, really wanted to make it work this year, and be a successful wedding planner all the time.

Last year in 2012, I was checking out all these wedding sites, places to place my ad, and really get my name out there and I noticed the Denver A List. Everything had already been closed and the votes were over, but I made it a goal for this year to be my year.

Yesterday marked the opening of voting for the Denver A List and I have been a marketing fool. I wanted to write a blog post about it on all my blogs for the businesses I have (Grooms Corner, Erika Swift Events, and The Life of Three on Wordpress). I hope that you share in my excitement to help my business grow. Success is in the numbers, not in the people that give you something, but in the ones who support you. Thankfully, I have an amazing support system, not only the people I have met through my blogs, my businesses, but as friends, and family members…it has been an amazing ride.

The best thing about this voting is that it lasts a whole month and I am ready to rock this out! Even if I don’t win, I would like to know where my stand point is and how things are going to play out.

I also have been working on my events, the Mock Reception (Colorado springs brides first) and the Grooms Room Event. This one is starting to be my all time favorite and I cant wait to unleash our groom power on the city.

OMG!!

So, Ive been dating this wonderfully great guy and he has been simply amazing. His name is Joel, Ive known him for a few years now, but never seemed to like him like that. So we stayed friends!

I moved back home (from AZ to CO) in December and it was the greatest, yet most stressful thing for me. I wanted to be happy...inside and out, yet things werent looking like that was going to happen. Well, Joel pops into my life the moment I start praying for better. I then see him with the twins and realize that I DO like him like that.

So, now we are dating! Its been a glorious time and this...start to my future has felt so right and so comfortable. He is encouraging, loving, wonderful and full of life and love. He is smart, talented, funny and so spiritual. He loves the kids as if they were his own and he makes sure they are taken care of has well.

I couldnt have asked for anyone better and I am so glad that God was listening to my prayer and gave me what I needed and not just what I wanted.

So, here is the awesome part as well. We know we want to get married. we have a date (sept 16, 2011) and we know our budget (5k). I dont have a ring yet but he is going to purpose in March!! We arent your traditional couple and since I do have kids already, we've been very open on this relationship!

The wedding planner in me has been bursting with things to do, the checklists and everything else that only goes into the planning process, not to mention handling the wedding. However the respective, lets not talk about anything until after we are officially engaged girlfriend is BURSTING to start planning.

Well, my lovely blog followers, he gave me the green light tonight and told me to plan my heart out! I wanted to share my joy and excitement with you all!! I started another blog for my wedding planning, the new journey, the changes and PICTURES!!!
